Antique British Musket

This is beleived a military pattern British percussion musket that has been converted into a one-off using mostly original and some hand made bespoke parts. The majority of the musket appears to be original parts; the lock, lock screws, barrel, trigger guard, stock and butt-plate all look authentic. The lock bears the makers initials "R B & Co". The stock has been shortened into what is most commonly referred to as "sporterised" configuration. At the end of the barrel is a hand made brass cleaning rod keep which has been brazed on to house the brass loading rod. There are a few contemporary screws and the crack in the stock is stable. The bore is massive and measures around 0.75 around 19mm, similar to a Brown Bess musket. 

Chambered in an obsolete calibre, it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
