Antique British made Rotating Double Barrel Percussion Pistol

This is an antique British made rotating or turn-over double barrel percussion pistol, circa 1840 to 1860. The makers name is only partially visible and looks to be J ROB I ? . The barrels are both stamped with period correct Birmingham proof stamps and can be rotated 360 degrees. The bore measures around .40  and the action is tight and crisp locking back on half and full cock perfectly. The action is hand engraved with fine hand chequering to the solid wood pistol grip.

 

This is an antique obsolete calibre pistol and can be owned live without any form of license, this pistol is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
