Deactivated Poachers 410 Folding Shotgun

This is a Victorian era folding single barrel .410 shotgun. These types of shotguns are most commonly referred to as "Poachers" guns. The lightened stock and folding action made them ideally suited for poachers who would illegally poach game and wildfowl from wealth land owners estates. The gun could be easily concealed under clothing, quickly opened, locked and cocked ready to shot. Deactivated with a working action. The rifle is available and is awaiting a replacement deactivation certificate at the proof house. This will not affect its deactivation status.
