Deactivated Martini Henry Cavalry Carbine issued to the Yorkshire Yeoman Hussars

This is an Enfield maunfactured Martini Henry Cavalry Carbine I.C.1 - Inertcahnage Carbine MKI. It was original chamberd in .577 and in 1892 was converted into .303 by H.R.B.Co. - Henry Rifle Barrel Company.  The regimental disc reads "11 1896 Y Y .H 152"  November 1896. Yorkshire Yeomanry Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own), weapon number 152, who saw active service during both world wars. Note the firing indicator is in the 9 o'clock position this was to make it easier to remove and less likely to sag on the saddle holster whilst on horse back.
