Deactivated Port Said (M/45) submachine gun

This is an Egyptian military Port Said (M/45) submachine gun. Chambered in 9mm the original design was called the Kulsprutepistol M/45 (Kpist m/45), This particular example was made under license by the Egypian's and was named the "Port Said". It has a trapezoid 36 round magazine design which makes the magazine very reliable and less likely to jam in cold conditions. Most 9mm magazines are staked side by side. During its extensive military service use the M/45 was used by many military powers including the US Navy Seals during the Vietnam War.
