Deactivated WWII British 2 inch Mortar

This is a matching numbers WWII British 2 inch mortar and comes with an original wartime muzzle cover. This example is dated 1940 "40" and was issued to New Zealand during the war. Next to the makers mark M&P is "N Z" with a broad arrow acceptance stamp. The 2 inch mortar was used by British and Common Wealth forces during WWII, and was also air dropped into Nazi occupied Europe for use by the SOE, SAS, partisan and resistance groups.
