A Second World War, German MG42 machine gun, with all visible numbers matching. The initials "GH" were only used by Maget and for one year only in 1943. Maget was assigned secret code "cra" and Nazi acceptance Waffen stamp Eagle over WaA11. The serial number (777f)  is also correct and falls within the known serial number range used that year; 2257d to 1175g. Maget only produced an estimated 60,000 MG42's in 1943. This example still retains its original finish and matched parts. It had a fantastic rate of fire at 1200 rounds a minute. Nick named by US troops as Hitler's buzz saw, they are still in use in a modified form today. A real German WWII classic. Deactivated to new EU specifications.
