Deactivated WWII US Springfield M1903 Model 03-A3 Rifle

This is a WWII US Springfield M1903 Model 03-A3 rifle that was manufactured by Remington in 1943. Although the barrel is date code is 8-43 (August 1943) the serial number indicates completion was in October 1943.  Ths rifle would have been made in preparation for Operation Overlord - D-Day. A classic World War Two US rifle. It was used by US forces throughout WWII, and saw action during the Korean and Vietnam wars.
