Rare 1944 dated Deactivated British WWII .303 Lee Enfield MK 5 Jungle Carbine with its 10 round magazine. An excellent British made example of the rarest WWII Lee Enfield Carbine. Lovely smooth bolt action and a super example.
Used in the Pacific theatre basically a lighter and shorter version of the No4 rifle with a conical flash hider shortened stock and weighing in at a full two pounds less than the standard No 4, it was ideally suited to jungle warfare. The downside of being lighter was it had a kick like a mule despite being fitted with a thick rubber recoil pad.
