This is a unique British manufactured Tower musket dated 1855. This example has been "Arabicized" and is a likely Afghan bring-back. After being captured from the British or ruling coloniel forces these unique embellishments would have been added by its owner with this one having some fine hand crafted brass work that stands out nicely against the woodwork. An interesting feature is the chamois leather cheek pad - clearly very old as it has become semi-rigid with age which has been added to ease firing from horse or camel-back, and a percussion cap-bag for keeping spare unused percussion caps stowed. The lock is correctly marked with Royal Cypher VR - Victoria Regina and the barrel bears the original period British proof stamps. The action still works - holding back on both half and full cock.

This musket can be owned live without any form of license.

It is not deactivated in any way and is being sold as a collectors piece only.
