Deactivated Model 1892 French Lebel revolver. The standard French first world war revolver. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired. An excellent example of a hard to find, great war era revolver. Original finish and excellent crisp markings.
The French standard issue weapon was the Pistole Revolveur Modele 1892.
Popularly referred to as either the 'Lebel' or 'model d'Ordonnance' it resembled the British Webley, although it fired six 8mm rounds rather than the British .455 cartridge. A reliable weapon the Lebel remained in common use throughout the First and Second World War. A scarce French military revolver.
