This is the fully automatic version of the L1A1. The L2A1 was basically the L1A1 fitted with a heavy barrel, selective fire capability, 30 round box magazine and a folding bipod and was considered a replacement for the BAR or Bren. Around 10,000 were produced between 1962 and 1982. This example is old specification and can be field stripped and dry fired.
