This 1914 Mauser is a mystery to everyone who has seen it. It is a launcher of some kind but we can find no reference anywhere to its exact use. It has a hole in the woodwork below the breech for fitting to a stand of some sort. This indicates it was fired from a fixed position. It was part of the Mauser factory collection which was removed in 1945.
