Deactivated German WWII 1940 manufactured MG34

The MG34 was the first successful general-purpose machine-gun ever introduced.  It was originally designed by Mauser according to Waffenamt specifications. Introduced in 1934 and manufactured until the end of the second world war it is a superbly well engineered weapon made to very high tolerances and this was its downfall, it made it too slow to manufacture and prone to stoppages in adverse conditions.

This is a superb looking 1940 dated example with a plethora of WaA Nazi stamps (even the Bakelite butt and bipod are stamped) It has a lovely deep blued finish. This is a 1940 dated WWII Nazi example and would make a fabulous display item. Deactivated in 1990 with working action it can be field stripped and dry fired It also breaks in the middle. This would have enabled the machine gun team to change the barrel which got very hot after prolonged use. One of the best examples we have seen.
