German WWI G98 Rifle this is a carbine size example but not stamped KAR 98 but G98. It has its front sight cover and cleaning rod. Manufactured by J.P Sauer as opposed to the more usual Erfurt and Mauser made examples. The woodwork has a very dark age patina and carries scars from service use. Unusual example.
