Product Information

This is a WWII Nazi MP40 sub-machine gun. It was manufactured in 1943 by Erma under secret Nazi makers code "ayf 43" and has the correct Waffenamt stamps WaA280 and is fitted with the same matching year and makers marked magazine. The rear of the magazine well has a notch cut, this is only seen on earlier examples. The MP40 was an innovative design using press steel parts rather than machined parts and was often the preferred weapon of choice when captured by Allied soldiers. It used the same 9mm ammunition as the British Sten and Browning High Powers. This example has a lovely even patina to the finish with some matching numbers, original grips and Bakelite foregrip.

This MP40 has been deactivated sympathetically to current specifications with moving parts. The trigger, cocking lever and original plunger assembly can be pulled back into the safety position and will return under spring tension.
