Deactivated WW2 German K98 - Ex sniper

This is a virtually all matching numbers WW2 German K98. Dated 1943, it was made by Mauser using secret makers code "byf" and bears the correct military acceptance stamps Eagle 135. This rifle looks to have had an interesting past, being a sniper rifle and stationed in Norway during the war. The receiver bears the remnants of threaded holes where the scope mounts were once fitted, and the additional Norwegian military stamps applied after it became their property. The rifle retains its original woodwork, floor plate assembly, bolt and barrel bands. Deactivated with a working action.
