Product Information

This is a fabulous condition WWII Vickers MKI machine gun. The serial number 3219 dates to June 1941 and is one of only 12,300 or so produced by Lithgow during wartime production. Note the serial number has no letter suffix meaning it is gun number 3,219th from the first batch of 10,000 afterwhich a B suffix was added. The Vickers is profusely dated with Australian markings broad arrow stamped. The tripod cradle is dated 1940 and is matched to the tripod, serial number 1511. This is also Aussie made by Randwick Tramways (RT).

A museum worthy example that would be the centre piece to any WWII collection.

The Vickers is one of most iconic and instantly recogniseable British machine guns being used is both world wars and continuing in service with the British army well into the 1960s.
