A superb WWII Vickers Machine gun with virtually all matching numbers including brass feed tray, plus tripod with matched upper & lower sections. Both gun and tripod date to 1942 with same dated Clinometer. One of the most iconic heavy machine guns of both world wars. Britain would have almost certainly not been able to make the advances and gains during WWI without the trusty .303 Vickers. A reliable and easy to maintain gun that could be fired continuously for hours and hours without stoppages. With the outbreak of WWII Britain mobilised its stocks of Vickers and continued production throughout the second world war. The Vickers saw active service on just about every front on land, sea and in the air. With lots of Broad Arrow accept markings, this great example comes with tripod, water can with rubber hose with attachments, plus a 1942 dated W.H.Price & Son Ltd Clinometer. A very impressive set.  Available with an original canvas bullet belt and inert rounds(not included in the price).Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
